Liquid biopsy for non-invasive multi-cancer detection and characterization in dogs
Blood-based liquid biopsy for veterinary applications will be introduced, including a review of the current clinical approach to cancer diagnosis, and opportunities for cell-free DNA-based liquid biopsy testing in dogs. Multiple clinical use cases for liquid biopsy in cancer detection will be described, including screening for early detection; aid in diagnosis; and monitoring for residual or recurrent disease. This program has been approved for 1 hour of continuing education credit in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval (Tracking number 20-848616).

Andi Flory
DVM, DACVIM (Oncology) PetDx Chief Medical Officer Dr. Andi Flory is a board-certified specialist in Medical Oncology. Dr. Flory graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed additional training at Florida Veterinary Specialists and Cancer Treatment Center in Tampa, Florida, and Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. Dr. Flory has previously worked as an oncologist in the US and Australia until a little dog named Poppy changed the path of her career and led her to a passion for cancer genomics. Since 2019, Dr. Flory has been acting in the role of Chief Medical Officer for PetDx, which aims to bring non-invasive cancer detection to veterinary medicine.
