“This new testing capability will allow us to begin winning the battle on cancer by catching it early.”
— Lizzie Moser, DVM
The devoted medical team at Animalia Health & Wellness describes one of their core values as “constantly advancing our standards of medicine and service.” Given that, it’s no surprise that the team at the Franklin, Tenn. veterinary practice are outspoken advocates of using OncoK9® – The Liquid Biopsy Test for Dogs™.
In this 2-minute video posted to the practice’s Facebook page, Lizzie Moser, DVM, shares her passion for early cancer detection. Having already received a “Cancer Signal Detected” result in one patient, Dr. Moser and her colleagues have firsthand experience about the impact OncoK9 can have on dogs and the people who love them.
Dr. Moser explains the cutting-edge science and technology behind the test in simple terms. “We know that as cancer is in the body, it’s constantly having cells die. And those cells, when they die, release fragments of DNA into the bloodstream, and that’s what this test looks for.”
And all with a simple blood draw that dogs commonly get in routine veterinary medicine, Dr. Moser says. “This new testing capability will allow us to begin winning the battle on cancer by catching it early,” she writes in the Facebook post accompanying the video.
